About The Black-Tie Ball

Following the success of our charity ball in 2021, where we raised a staggering £16,838 for EACH, we’re back again in 2024! This time, we’re raising money for two incredible children’s charities and hoping to raise even more money.

We’d love for you to join us at Stoke by Nayland Resort on 12th October 2024.

Dust off your gowns and tuxedos and join us for an evening of fabulous food, live music and the chance to win some incredible raffle prizes. Two thirds of the proceeds will be donated to EACH and a third to Kids Inspire, two wonderful charities that need our support.

We hope you’ll find everything you need to know here on our website, but please get in touch if you’d like to know more or would like to support the event in any way. We’re always keen to secure additional sponsorship, raffle prizes and items for auction to ensure we raise as much money as possible for EACH and Kids Inspire.

About EACH

EACH offer a family-centred, needs-led approach to care, ensuring all of the needs of the children and young people they care for are met - whether psychological, physical, emotional, social or spiritual. All of their hospices are friendly, welcoming places, staff don't wear uniforms and families are encouraged to treat the hospice as a home-from-home.

Care at end of life isn't the only service provided, many of the children and young people are extremely active but need extra support and care.

EACH also offer a range of support to meet the wellbeing needs of the whole family including parents/carers, siblings, grandparents and significant others. This includes social opportunities like sibling activity days, coffee mornings and male/female carers nights.

The charity also recognise that at times individuals and families need more specific help and they have a team of experienced professionals including counsellors, music therapists, art therapists, play specialists and spiritual care advisors who can provide additional support when it is needed.

About Kids Inspire

Kids Inspire are a charity that offers children and their families support with their mental health and trauma recovery. Their mission is to provide children in the UK specialist support to become healthy adults who lead complete and fulfilling lives. To provide and share inspiration and best practice with other providers across the education, health and private sectors.

Each case has a child at its centre (92% are 5-15 years old, 7% 16-18) and receives a package of support individual to their needs, consisting of one or more of the following - Creative Arts Therapies, Trauma Resolution Therapies, Family Therapy, Other Talk Therapies and Group Therapy classes.

How much are tickets?

Tickets are £75pp/£750 for a table of 10. If purchased before 31st March, a table of 10 can be purchased for £700.

How many people to a table?

The optimum number is 10. We have a couple of tables of 12 available too. If you are a party of less than 10, we will try and pair you with another smaller party to ensure we sell as many tickets as possible.

Can we stay at the hotel?

Yes, absolutely! Please quote the name of this event when booking with reception for discounted rates.

What is providing the Live Music?

Local singer and musician Danny Patterson will keep the dancefloor filled all night with his incredible live music sets.

Can we pre-order drinks?

No, but there will be a cash/card bar specifically for our event on the night that will be open from 18:00 until late.

Who are we raising money for?

East Anglia’s Children Hospices (EACH) and Kids Inspire. More information can be found on both our website and theirs. They are fantastic charities and we hope to raise as much as possible for them!

Can we donate money on the night?

Yes absolutely! You will be able to purchase raffle tickets on the night, enter the competition for our “Barrow of Booze” or simply donate some cash if you’re feeling extra generous.

How else can we help or get involve?

Buying tickets to the event and coming to support us on the night would be amazing and very much appreciated. If you would like to sponsor the event to help cover some of the costs and allow us to donate even more to charity, or provide us with a raffle or auction prize, you’d make our day!
